BECOME A REFEREE

Are you interested in becoming a Ringette referee?  Ringette Nova Scotia is offering a Level 1 Officials clinic on Sunday October 21, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM (includes 1 hour ice time).  Spaces are still available but are limited!

Who can become a referee?
Anyone 14 years of age or over.  You’re never too old and we encourage older individuals to participate.
 
How do I become a referee?
Complete the Level 1 training program which includes:
- Creating an online profile at http://officiatingringette.ca 
- Register for the clinic
- Complete the online learning module (about 30 minutes)
- Attend the half-day clinic which includes 1 hour of on-ice instruction
- Receive feedback and mentoring from a senior ref
 
Officiating Training for the 2018-2019 season
A Level 1 clinic has been scheduled for Sunday, October 21st beginning at 9:00 AM. Candidates are expected to complete an online module prior to attending the clinic, attend the half-day clinic and complete an online exam afterwards (within one week).

To sign-up for the Level 1 clinic go to the website http://officiatingringette.ca. You will need to create an account (profile), then register for the Clinic by clicking on “clinics” and selecting the Level 1 Clinic.  You can then complete the online module (takes about 30 minutes).
 
How much will it cost?
The fee is $75 which covers licensing fees from Ringette Canada, crest, rule book, classroom rental, facilitator fees and ice rental.

Where?
The clinic will be held at the Bedford Hammonds Plains Community Centre, 202 Innovation Dr, Bedford. On ice training will follow at BMO immediately after the classroom portion.
