Ringette Nova Scotia (RNS) is pleased to announce the selection of Kirsti Mason as the Head Coach for Team Nova Scotia for the upcoming
2023 Canada Winter Games taking place in Prince Edward Island from February 18 – March 5, 2023.
Kirsti is a native of Cole Harbour, NS and has been playing ringette for over 20 years. She is a former Canada Winter Games athlete, having competed for Team Nova Scotia in both 2011 and 2015. Kirsti is no stranger to winning. She has won Gold at the 2012 World Junior Ringette Championships as a member of Team Canada East and Gold at the 2018 Canadian Ringette Championships as a member of the Atlantic Attack.
Kirsti has been a coach for over 10 years, coaching a variety of groups from grassroots with the Harbour City Lakers’ U9 team to Canada Games U20 AAA in 2019 and everything in between. In 2015, Kirsti started coaching within the RNS Excellence Programs. She was Head Coach of the U19 AA team from 2018-2020, Apprentice Coach for the 2019 Canada Winter Games Ringette Team and most recently the Assistant Coach of the U19 AA team for the past two seasons. Kirsti is currently Head Coach of the Harbour City Lakers U16 Tier 1 team that won provincials last season.

My goal is to provide a holistic athlete-centered learning environment that empowers ringette participation for life. I look forward to the next twelve months where athletes will progress, succeed and enjoy their experience in a fun, safe and positive environment.”
Ringette Nova Scotia will be announcing the remainder of the 2023 Team Nova Scotia coaching staff in the coming weeks.
